Collection: WiFi Devboards
ESP32-S2 is the straightforward 2.4 GHz choice. 5Ghost BW16 adds native 2.4 + 5 GHz Wi-Fi. If your goal is GPS-tagged dual-band wardriving, see Scout Lite ESP32-C5 in the wider Flipper Zero collection.
| Need | Recommended board | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Classic 2.4 GHz ESP32-S2 workflow | ESP32-S2 WiFi Devboard | Focused, affordable 2.4 GHz option |
| Native 2.4 + 5 GHz Wi-Fi | 5Ghost BW16 | RTL8720DN dual-band hardware |
| 2.4 + 5 GHz wardriving with GPS | Scout Lite | ESP32-C5 + L86-M33 GPS + microSD logging |
Flipper Zero does not include a general-purpose Wi-Fi radio, so the expansion board determines the radio bands and workflow you get. Do not buy by feature count alone: a 2.4 GHz ESP32-S2 board can be the best choice for a simple community firmware setup, while BW16 or ESP32-C5 hardware makes sense only when your project actually needs 5 GHz capability.
