Compliance & Responsible Use
PINGEQUA designs and sells embedded-development and RF-development hardware — ESP32 development boards, wireless research modules, RF development modules, GPS modules, and embedded-development accessories — for developers, educators, researchers, and makers. This page explains the intended use of our products and the compliance responsibilities that apply to every customer.
Intended Use
Every product we sell is intended for one or more of the following purposes:
- Education. Teaching embedded systems, wireless protocols, and RF engineering in classrooms, labs, and self-study.
- Interoperability testing. Verifying that devices, firmware, and protocols work correctly together.
- Embedded development. Prototyping and building embedded and IoT hardware and firmware projects.
- RF research. Studying radio-frequency behavior, signal propagation, and wireless protocol design on hardware you own or are authorized to test.
- Authorized security research. Assessing the security of networks, devices, and systems you own, or for which you hold explicit written authorization to test.
Our products are development hardware. They are not marketed, sold, or intended for use against networks, devices, or systems you do not own or do not have explicit written permission to test.
Your Responsibility Under Local Law
Wireless research and RF-development hardware is subject to telecommunications, radio-spectrum, and computer-security laws that vary by country and region. Before using any PINGEQUA product, you are responsible for confirming that your intended use complies with the laws that apply to you, including but not limited to:
- Radio-spectrum and transmitter regulations in your country (for example, unlicensed use of certain frequencies or transmit power levels may be restricted).
- Computer-crime and unauthorized-access laws that govern network and device testing.
- Import, export, and customs regulations that apply to RF and wireless hardware.
PINGEQUA does not authorize, encourage, or condone the use of any product to access, disrupt, or interfere with a network, device, or system without the owner's explicit authorization. You alone are responsible for how you use the hardware you purchase from us.
Radio-Frequency Compliance
Our wireless and RF hardware is engineering and development equipment. Depending on the product and your region, it may fall under one or more of the following frameworks:
- United States: FCC Part 15 (unintentional and intentional radiators). Where applicable, FCC ID / Supplier's Declaration of Conformity (SDoC) information is provided on the product page.
- European Union / UK: Radio Equipment Directive 2014/53/EU (RED) and equivalent UK regulations.
- Other regions: Local telecommunications-equipment authorization requirements (for example ISED in Canada).
It is your responsibility to confirm that operating a given module — including any external antennas, amplifiers, or third-party firmware you install — is permitted in your country before use.
Open-Source and Third-Party Firmware
Some of our boards ship with, or are compatible with, open-source firmware projects developed by independent third parties. We are not the authors of that firmware, and its inclusion or compatibility does not change the intended-use terms on this page. You are responsible for reviewing and complying with the license and acceptable-use terms of any third-party firmware you install.
Export Control
Some products may be subject to export-control or dual-use regulations in the country of origin, destination, or transit. You are responsible for determining whether your purchase, shipment, or use of a product is restricted under the export-control laws that apply to you, and for obtaining any required authorization before proceeding.
Age and Qualification
Our products are intended for use by adults, or by minors under the direct supervision of a parent, guardian, or educator. Some products involve RF transmission, soldering, or electronics assembly and should be used with appropriate care and, where relevant, supervision.
Prohibited Use
You may not use any PINGEQUA product to:
- Access, disrupt, or interfere with any network, device, or account without the owner's explicit written authorization.
- Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation.
- Infringe the rights, privacy, or property of any third party.
Violating this policy may void your warranty and is solely your responsibility. See our Warranty, Terms of Service, and Privacy Policy for related terms.
