Flipper Zero Dual-Band Wi-Fi Devboard Setup Guide

Flipper Zero Dual-Band Wi-Fi Devboard Setup Guide

This guide covers the PINGEQUA dual-band 2.4 GHz / 5 GHz Wi-Fi devboard for Flipper Zero. It is intended for authorized Wi-Fi lab research, development and learning.

Compatibility
Host: Flipper Zero
Wireless platform: BW16 / RTL8720DN based dual-band Wi-Fi module
Supported bands: 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz
App: delfyRTL-compatible Flipper app

Important Notes

  • The board normally comes pre-flashed with compatible firmware.
  • Do not reflash the board firmware unless instructed by PINGEQUA support. Reflashing the module may break compatibility.
  • Wi-Fi 6E / 6 GHz is not supported.
  • 5 GHz signals usually have shorter range than 2.4 GHz signals.

Install the Flipper App

  1. Download the required delfyRTL .fap file.
  2. Use qFlipper or a file manager to copy it to SD Card → apps → GPIO.
  3. On Flipper Zero, open Apps → GPIO → delfyRTL.
  4. If you see an app version warning on some firmware builds, update your Flipper firmware or use a compatible build.

Troubleshooting

  • App not visible: confirm the .fap file is in SD Card → apps → GPIO.
  • App too old warning: try a compatible Flipper firmware build or update the app file.
  • No 5 GHz result: confirm the environment has 5 GHz networks nearby. 5 GHz range is naturally shorter.
  • Module not responding: reconnect the board, restart Flipper Zero, and avoid reflashing the Wi-Fi module firmware.
